It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I know, it isn't even Thanksgiving yet but we decorated! I know it is a little early but because we will not be together for Thanksgiving we thought we would do it early! And, we had a crazy snow storm last night which makes it seem a little more like the holidays (though I am not quite ready for it). Last night Tyler and I spent hours putting the tree up and decorating. We spent a lot of time in Target and Wal-Mart looking for cute decorations. We had a great time and it was fun to be able to decorate his house together. I am really looking forward to the holidays this year. We have lots of fun things planned and it will be great!

Children....High School Children that is

Just want to say that in my few years I have never taken any kid to the office. Ever! I have been very proud of that thinking I have wonderful control (or good kids...) That streak has been broken in this 2010-2011 school year. My count is now two with many more to go! For some reason this is thrilling to me! Hopefully it is not that I have no control but it is invigorating dragging a kid to the office and they know that you are MAD! Good times...

My Thanksgiving Grateful List

Since it is very soon becoming Thanksgiving, here is my grateful list. Of course, there are so many things I am grateful for but how I love this season to think of all that I have been blessed with this past year. And what a wonderful year it has been!

I am grateful for...
- my wonderful family
- parents who taught me right and support me in everything
- our two missionaries who are serving far away
- Tyler and the wonderful man that he is and all the support and love he shows me
- The Missionary Mall :)
- the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- a job
- a car that runs
- food to eat
- a wonderful comfy bed
- a healthy body
- running shoes
- good friends

Though this is just a small list, I thank everyone who has touched my life. I am grateful for everyone who has influenced me to be a better person and help me become the woman I am today. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dear Praxis Test....

I ask that this time you be good to me. The number we have met in the last 4 years has escaped my mind so I ask that your questions be easy. That they do not throw me for a loop and leave me wondering if I know anything I teach my students every single day. And have been teaching them for the last 3 years. I ask that there will not be an annoying person who taps their pencil for two hours, or wiggles my desk with their foot, or continues to moan and breathe heavy because they can cruise through the 130 question test in 30 minutes and then wait for the rest of us slow pokes to finish. I will remember to not wear a hat this time because you think somehow I have figured out all the questions and have the answers written down on my one and a half inch brim. Considering it is a 7:30 am, I will not have done my hair or put on any makeup. Though you might think that this test proves that people can teach, I would have to kindly disagree. Until you step foot into my classroom, you will have no idea! I hope that you, ETS people will understand the ridiculousness of this test and cut us extremely busy people some slack and change this mess we call a Praxis test!

Needed: A new closet

Since we moved into this house I have despised my closet. It is horrible. It is so tiny and I feel like I am stuck in a little box when I am in there. And let's be honest...I am a girl who loves clothes and shoes! Today I spent several hours moving stuff around so I can actually handle it in there. I don't know if it is much better but I did make a decision. In my next house, I want a big closet!
