Happy Halloween
Happy Bithday Tyler!
A little more...
So, Josh got the best treatment ever. His 3 sisters home and of course, we got him everything! Dinner, water, socks, ice...whatever he needed. And of course, movies. I love this picture! Seth, Josh and Brooklyn with their eyes glued to the TV! It was so cute. To report, Josh is doing much better. He missed his game last week against Teton but they won so they are going into the first round of the state playoffs. Josh will be playing this Saturday at Snake River. It is time for some revenge on those Panthers!

MIssionary Update
Yes everyone, this is Elder Stokes. He is loving the Philippines and always is so positive in his emails and letters. He has been struggling with the language but has been fasting and praying to get it. Here is a little excerpt from his email last week."thank you all for
all you prayers and everything, i have really felt it. i just want to
share one little experience with you. so yesterday was fast sunday and
i fasted sooooo hard to learn this language and i have been praying so
hard and i know all you have and then this morning it kinda just
clicked. i started to understand what everyone was saing. it was still
ruff but so much better and i know that it was because of all your
faith and prayers so thank you all so much"
Mary is doing really great too. No pictures of her but she just loves Minnesota. She had to cover two areas for awhile but things are back to normal. Here is a little from her latest email.

"yes dinkytown was awesome. i did like it but i am happy to be back in my area. it was way too stressful to leave my area and go over there. i felt like i was abandoning my people but it was just for a few days. so we found a new investigator this week. her name is jamima saidi. she is from tanzania. she is 72 and awesome.she came to confrence and said that she has never felt so peacefull in her life. she was struggling to find friends here because it is a new place. but now that she has met us she has made so many friends. she keeps saying that she needs something in her life. i know the lord will put people in our path to share the gospel with if we ask him. there are so many people prepared to hear but we have to be willing to open our mouths."
Thanks everyone for all your prayers for the missionaries. From personal experience, I know that they are felt and very much appreciated. I will do this every so often so you can at least have an idea!

Happy October
October is here. October brings haunted houses, candy corn, carving pumpkins, scary movies and Halloween. Last night, Tyler planned a Halloween themed date. We ate soup and sandwiches for dinner, watched Practical Magic and decorated sugar cookies. A fun night to bring in the season. Thanks Tyler for a great night!

The events of last night....
Let me replay last night for you. After a great class at the gym I was all ready to shower, stay home and grade papers. On our way home I asked Melissa and Kaylin if there was FHE. They replied, "Yes. It's a barbeque" All of a sudden, I was interested....because of the free dinner. So, we hurry and get ready.
Kaylin and I were in line getting food and our bishop's wife starts talking to us. Eventually, there are several of there and Brother Frampton walks up, pretty slyly. He asks how we are then hands me a napkin (because I obviously needed it with ketchup on my face). Then he conveniently asks me (with my mouth full of food) when was the last time they heard me speak in church. Uh-oh! I try to weasel my way out of it but no luck. But, I figure I do it now and don't need to do it later! And, I am out of leading the music too!
