The happenings of Mach (and February)

No, my computer has not been broken and I have not been on a fun vacation. I have just been....busy? Yes, I would say that is the right word. It has been a good March and February. Busy but it's been good. So, just a quick synopsis

February:
February was a good month. It was busy and some great things happened. Tyler and I went to the Melting Pot for the first time and it was so fun. It is a fondue restaurant. The appetizer and the chocolate at the end was our favorite!!!

Who doesn't love the Zoo! We had some great weather in February and this Saturday happened to be a perfect day to go to the zoo! The baby elephant was adorable. The gorilla, I just always think of two movies when I see a gorilla. Buddy and Return to Me. And I saw some bugs that Nate would possibly encounter in the Philippines. They were HUGE!

Tyler and I as we were leaving the Zoo!

We seriously loved the Olympics in our house this year. We had an Olympics party to open the Olympics, completely equipped with all kids of good Canadian goodies. Ok, mostly chips (fries), cheese and gravy which they mostly can thank the English for. But since we love the English and chips, cheese and gravy, we love Canada for the same reason. Our DVR was full of Olympic coverage and every night we watched something. Though by the end of the two plus weeks of the Olympics, we were ready to it to be over. So, of course, we had a closing ceremonies party. Complete with cupcakes that were shaped and colored like the Olympic Rings. It was a cute idea and at least lasted long enough for a photo opp!!

And the last and final event of March (at this point of the blog anyway).......Junior Prom! Being the cool and fun teacher that I am, everyone wants me to chaperon their dance. Ok, not everyone but we can think that. One day at school the Junior class officers asked me if I would chaperon, but mostly on only one condition. That I bring Tyler. So, there we were. Ten years after our high school graduation attending a Junior Prom, but as chaperon's. We had a lot of fun. The kids are always on their best behavior and they all looked so great. So, thanks Tyler for being my date to the Prom!!

I promise that I will be better at blogging. But just for the record, I will be out of town for about a week so that is a pretty good excuse, just in case I need one!!!

I'm still waiting for the Peking Acrobats (which is when I knew that Tyler was a great guy).
